My name is Angelica.
I am 8 years old. I love Jesus! My big sister, Gianna, loves Jesus too! She is helping me with my Catholic Kids 101 page. We talk about what I want to tell you and she helps me write it.
I have a special gift called Down Syndrome. You probably noticed it when you saw my picture. Lots of people have told me that I am beautiful so I know that Down Syndrome must be a beautiful gift. It wasn't something I caught or woke up with one day. I was born with it! This next part is something my sister Gianna wants to tell you.

GIANNA: I want to tell you how special it is to have Angelica as my little sister. When Angelica was born some of my friends said to me, "I'm sorry!" when they found out she had Down Syndrome. I want to tell everyone that if I could have picked out any baby girl born that day to be my sister, I would still have picked out Angelica. Her life is such a precious gift to me and my family. She is the most amazing person! She might not be able to do some of the things I did at her age like learn ballet or write stories but she has talents of her own. Angelica loves music. She is always singing. Her voice is so beautiful! She is the only one our dog, Oscar, will obey. She makes me laugh and helps me see things I never noticed before. She has taught me to slow down and to be more patient. When I'm stressed out or feeling upset about something that happened at my high school, I come home and there is Angelica at the door to give me a big hug. She can always make me smile. Her nickname is "Our Little Butterfly."
Angelica also loves to look at beautiful pictures. As a matter of fact, that is just what she wanted her Catholic Kids 101 page to be all about. I will let her explain.

ANGELICA: I love Jesus! I have a big book that has beautiful pictures from the life of Jesus in it. I look at it often. I bring it with me when I go to Church. I like to sit with Jesus at Church and look at the pictures when I make visits with Him. I learn a lot about Jesus by looking at the pictures. Gianna said she would help me put some of the pictures from my book on this page so you can see them too. Just click the buttons below. Remember, Jesus loves you! Me and Gianna do too.
From your Catholic Kids 101 friend,
